Integrity Transitional Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital or “LTCH,” and although LTCHs have been around since the early 1980’s, we are proud that Integrity Transitional Hospital (ITH) is the first of its kind in Denton, Texas. 
ITH is a licensed, Medicare and Medicaid certified, “state-of-the-art,”, 38,500 square foot, 54 bed long-term acute care hospital, where patients with medically complex or multiple system failure/insufficiency health issues are treated with the utmost compassion and care, utilizing the very latest in medical knowledge and technology. Patients who are admitted and treated at ITH are many times critically ill, and suffer from medical conditions that adversely affect many parts of the body. These conditions include, but are not limited to, cardiopulmonary disorders, severe wounds, kidney diseases, complex infections, as well as neurological disorders resulting from head and/or spinal cord injury/trauma and stroke.
Given that the majority of our patients are medically complex, they are often dependent on medical technology, such as total parenteral nutrition, cardiac monitoring, dialysis and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. At ITH, we are committed to providing our patients with the very best that technology has to offer, thus providing hope and positive clinical outcomes and ultimately, hope to those who seek our care. Patients are afforded an opportunity to recover through a compassionate multidisciplinary treatment team approach, which includes qualified and caring clinicians such as primary care and sub-specialty medical physicians and doctor’s of osteopathy, licensed nurses, certified respiratory therapists, physical, occupational and speech therapists, nurse case managers, licensed dieticians and social workers. The average length of a patient’s stay at Integrity Transitional Hospital is 25-40 days.
